It was a slow start for the Women’s Swimming team as they began 0-2 on the season but things have come together.

The team defeated Battle Creek Central and then followed up that win by knocking off Sturgis just 2 days later.

Following a loss to Bridgman, the team is 2-3 overall heading into their meet tonight at Battle Creek Lakeview.

The Men’s Soccer team has been competitive in most matches but struggle scoring goals. When you face your rival and have plenty of peers in the crowd to watch, it is easy to be motivated and forget about the rough start to the season.

Senior Tony Dennis scored 2 goals as the Knights defeated Kalamazoo Central 3-1 for the first win of the season last Tuesday. The Knights led 1-0 at halftime but the Giants looked determined with an early second half goal to tie it at 1-1. The Knights were determined however to win the game and added a second goal then a third to seal the win. The happy players were greeted by the large student contingent to celebrate the victory at midfield.

You can catch these two teams in action again soon. The Soccer team will play at St. Joe on Thursday and at Lakeshore on Tuesday. They will play in the first round of the SMAC Tournament at Niles on 10/6.

The Women’s Swim Team will host Portage Central on Tuesday 10/4 at 6:00 P.M.
