Skiiers headed to Boyne

The Kalamazoo United Men’s and Women’s skiing teams will be competiting in the MHSAA Regional on Thursday at Boyne Mountain.

Bowlers Head to Regional

The Men’s and Women’s Bowling teams will compete in the MHSAA Regional on February 24 and 25 at Holt. The team competition will be on the 24th and the individual compeititon on the 25th.

Men’s Swimming winds down

The Men’s Swimming team will compete in the SMAC East Divisional Meet on February 24-25 at Battle Creek Lakeview HS. The team feels it can finish as high as second in the meet. It is the one of the last chances for the team members to qualify for the March 9-10 MHSAA State Final.

Competitive Cheer- SMAC East Champs

The Loy Norrix Competitive Cheer team has won the SMAC East title for the first time in school history. The team won all three SMAC meets and outdistanced second place Gull Lake in the standings. The team will compete in the MHSAA District on Saturday at Rockford.

Rivalry Games Tomorrow

The next chapter in the cross town rivalry between Kalamazoo Central and Loy Norrix will unfold tomorrow at WMU’s University Arena. The day also will include Phoenix High School. Men’s Swimming takes 5th

The Men’s Swimming team ended up 5th in the Loy Norrix Invitational on Saturday. The team is back in action at home on Tuesday against Kalamazoo Central for a 6:00 P.M. meet.

Lost Night at Gull Lake

The Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams both fell at Gull Lake on Friday Night. The Women lost a 69-34 game to the lead leading Blue Devils. The Men’s team lost 65-62 in a first place showdown. Men’s and Women’s Basketball Crack State Rankings

The Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams are both in the state rankings for high school basketball. The Women’s team sits at #22 in the AP Poll released on Tuesday. The Men’s team is #10 in the Detroit Free Press poll for Class A, #11 in the AP, and #14 on bankhoops.com
